F2 Champion receives follow up to initial therapy
20-Year old continues to make progress
British racing driver Dean Stoneman has returned to Southampton General Hospital to start the first of a four week/five day cycle of chemotherapy.
The F2 Champion has returned for his second stage of treatment having received the first course of Chemotherapy which finished in March, soon after the diagnosis of Testicular Cancer towards the end of January this year.
“This second stage of treatment is part of his fight against the illness” said Stoneman’s Manager Steve Noakes. He added: “The specialists are in constant contact with Dean and thought that a second course of Chemotherapy should start this week to maintain his great progress so far. Dean is in good spirits and is dealing with it in his usual steely way.”
Despite taking time from racing this year, Stoneman has been busy in recent weeks. He attended the opening round of the FIA F2 Championship at Silverstone to catch up with friends present the trophies. Earlier this month he also accepted the role of Youth Ambassador for the Wessex Cancer Trust.
Dean also continues to receive huge support from those both in and outside motorsport and would like to thank everybody for their kind support.
